Evernote

I confess that I have not visited and updated this blog for a while and one of the reasons for this is my discovery of Evernote. This is a tool that can be used to store any information and group related ideas in notebooks or relate adn search for them using tags. Whatebver you want to record, you can do it using this tool. Evernote can be downloaded to a PC onto a smartphone or used on the web. This makes it even more useful - you can access your work wherever you are. You can even share your notebooks with interested others if you want.

The Worldmapper website provides almost 700 density-equalising maps realting to different topics. These cartograms re-size the territories according to the variable being mapped. So if you want to compare areas by transport, tourism, production, disease or many other categories, these maps can show you relative densities and provide a poster summarising the data.
